One Touch Settings (OTS)

The whole set of the 4 L/R voices, including their mixer strips’ customized setting (if any), is called an OTS. By switching OTSes you can instantly reconfigure your hand played L/R voices to suit the need of the moment (i.e.: intro, chorus, verse, …).

Each style has 8 OTS slots (prefilled with suitable factory defaults) where you can store your preprogrammed settings. An OTS can be recalled manually (at the press of a button), or automatically (when you change a style Main section). It can take effect immediately or at the next measure start. The desired behaviour can easily be selected at the touch of a button, and even conveniently changed while performing.

To empower your creativity and boost your musical performance, the OTS also stores customised settings for the whole mixer strip, the insert effect, and the subdivision between L/R voices (= how many left and how many right voices).

When the style is saved, the selected OTS is remembered, and automatically recalled every time the style is loaded (unless you choose to automatically link the OTS with the active Main section).

You can freely associate any style Main section to any OTS, easily reorder both the Main sections and the OTSes and still maintain the originally set link. All this editing is performed with a clear, straightforward, and touch aware, interface.

OTS panel

OTS panel.
  1. Click a button to load that OTS. The currently loaded OTS is highlighted. Right click (long press) a button to store the currently active setting into that OTS slot.

Clicking an OTS button will automatically disengage (deselect) the OTS LINK button (explained below at [4]).

  2. If you modify any OTS related parameter, the highlighted OTS button turns red. This warns you that the last loaded OTS (highlighted) does not match the current settings anymore.

If you select another OTS while the highlight is red, the current changes are lost.

If you so desire, save them in an OTS slot (the highlighted one, another, or even a temporary OTS memory) to be able to recall them later.

  3. You can reorder the OTSes moving the highlighted slot with these arrows. The locations are circularly linked (OTS1 is adjacent to OTS8). You can click an OTS to audition it, and then possibly move it, or iterate the procedure (click, audition, possibly move) until everything is as you like.

To aid your reordering effort, you can also show what Main section(s) are linked to each OTS button (explained later: [5] and [6]).

  4. Click the OTS LINK button to toggle the automatic OTS change when a Main style section changes. An highlighted button means the automatic OTS change is active.

Right clicking (long pressing) the button toggles it from “immediate” mode (green) to “next measure start” (purple). Clicking and right clicking (= highlight/color) are independent actions that do not interfere with each other.

  5. Right clicking (long pressing) this button will toggle between two different naming schemes [6] of the OTS buttons, showing different info.

  6. The first naming scheme (OTS x) shows the sequential numbering of the OTS buttons. The second naming scheme (M-x) shows which Main section(s) is/are linked to which OTS.

Example. In the given screenshot, every OTS is linked with the same numbered Main section, except OTS6 and OTS7, which are respectively linked to Main 6 & 7, and unlinked (no Main section is linking OTS7).

Linking Main sections with OTS

By linking a style Main section with an OTS slot, you can later make that OTS automatically selected every time the given Main section is played. A Main section can link only one OTS, but an OTS can be linked by different Main sections. A Main section always link an OTS, with the following procedure you can change what is linked by a given Main.

Reordering Main sections or OTSes will not break the existing links, which will be automatically updated accordingly. To see the current links, if necessary right click the SET LINK button in the OTS management panel.

OTS linking to Main section.
  1. Select the style Main section you want to command an automatic OTS change.

  2. Click the SET LINK button: it highlights, the led flashes and it shows the Main number you are linking from (in this example M-7). At this point you can even select another style section, the M-7 will stay locked until you finish the procedure (next point).

If the style section is not a Main, the SET LINK button is dimmed and cannot be selected.

  3. The whole set of OTS buttons is flashing as well, suggesting you to press one of them. Click the OTS you want to be triggered by the previously selected Main section.

If you want to abort the operation, click the SET LINK button again.
